Demon Angels grew up from an idea of the guitarist Chris Falco in June 1998 in Turin (Italy). It’s a pure hard rock project, drawing inspiration from bands such as Mr. Big, Europe, Yngwie Malmsteen, McAuley Schenker Group, Motley Crue.
In September 1998 Chris, with the help of various session men from Turin’s hard
rock scene, ends the recordings of the first promo album “Demon Angels” (11
tracks), which is followed in June 2001 by the second promo album “Spirit
Resurrection” (11 tracks). After an intense live activity in Turin, in January
2002 the drummer John Lie joins the band permanently; then Chris and John record
their third promo album “Speed Rising” (13 tracks) and a few months later, in
June 2003, they give birth to the fourth one, “Fire Love” (11 tracks).
Demon Angels then start a cooperation with “RockFM” (Milan), one of the most
important rock radios in Italy, for which the band writes over 55 tunes and
presents the promo albums “Speed Rising” and “Fire Love” during the broadcast
“Hard N’Heavy” in two different interviews. Between 2002 and 2004 the band takes
part in two tribute albums sponsored by Yngwie Malmsteen’s Japanese Official Fan
Club.
May 2004 is spent touring throughout Italy, worth mentioning the show at the
“Sfinge Metal Pub” (Brescia), a historic stage for many of the biggest artists
in the hard rock and metal scene, such as Lacuna Coil, Destruction, Jeff
Scottsoto and many more…the band also collects a lot of good reviews of their
whole production from various fanzines.
The last musician to join Chris and John is the german bass player Thomas Kirst,
in September 2004.
In February 2005 the trio flies to Los Angeles to start the recordings of their
first official album in August Again Studios, where great artists as Twiggy
Ramirez (Marilyn Manson), Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Jeff Scottsoto, Greg
Bisonette had their works recorded.
The Album “Time of Confusion” (8 tracks) takes advantage of the precious
collaboration of Robin McAuley (former McAuley Schenker Group frontman), as lead
vocalist, producer and composer, too. Robin takes also part in the shootings of
the videoclip “Freedom”, first single to be extracted from “Time of Confusion”.
